Stephen Roche (born 5 July 1986 in Dublin) is an Irish footballer currently playing for F.C. New York in the USL Professional Division.
He previously played in the League of Ireland with UCD. Roche plays primarily as a central midfielder, but was seen as an important utility man within the UCD squad.

Roche signed for UCD during the summer of 2009 from Lenister Senior League side Greystones A.F.C.
Roche signed with F.C. New York of the USL Pro league on 18 March 2011.[1]
Roche was part of the Irish Colleges team for the World Student Games that travelled to Thailand in the summer of 2007. He also travelled to Belgrade in 2009 for the World Student Games, captaining the side in the process. He forced his way into both of these squads due to his commanding presence within the Dublin Institute of Technology squad. Roche received a schlorship to DIT and was twice presented with the DIT All-Star award.
